"Shoreline near Bay Furnace"

I attempted to paint this spot several times. Loosing my easel and canvas to a quick gust of wind as the waves pushed in to the shoreline near Bay Furnace, Christmas Michigan. This is one of my plein air sketches that captures the movement of the water and the anticipation of whats next. You can faintly see the grid from the under painting but the brushwork is phenomenal.  9x12 oil on canvas board.
