"Johnson's River Birch" -

This painting captures the Johnsons’ view of their home and the river birch in their front yard, created in my studio from a reference photo. Afternoon light filtering through the clouds cast intriguing shadows and highlights across the house and driveway. I was especially drawn to the expansive sky—open farmland surrounds their home, offering a feeling of fresh air and space. The strong vertical lines of the curb and sidewalks added a structure I loved exploring. 12x12 oil on canvas board.
